Trocaderos Closed!

Bummer...Trocaderos has closed. We've had great experiences there and have always appreciated the excellent treatment the staff, promoters and sound technicians have given us and everyone else who've played there and walked through those doors.

Appreciation

As we make our trek back to MSP, we wanted to take the time to pen our appreciation for the support and reception we had on these two shows with Evans Blue and Rains. The two bands embraced us as comrades and fans took the time out of their busy lives to break away and rock out for a night (or maybe two: Chels, Van, Big Ben). We worked very hard to promote Evans Blue to give them a warm welcome in Minneapolis but it was all of you that came through and provided that support by coming out. We ALL enjoyed these nights away from the dredge of the day-to-days and let our hair down. It was amazing to share those nights with you, fans, and humbling that you'd support us. Thank you! We'll see you again soon.

On Our Way Home...

All I got to say is wow.... Who makes a little person a bathroom attendant??? Between the halo of blacklight, the dual showered stage, the plethera of bring your own booze, random guys cooking kabobs, and a dance off that would blow your mind (which by the way, Big Ben blew Evans Blue out of the competition with a standing perkilator) it was a decent night.... Guess you had to be there! See you soon!

Scott Hansen Productions

Nate, Adam (yes, gimpy is a champ) and I are meeting with Scott Hansen of Scott Hansen Productions (http://www.scotthansenproductions.com/ / http://www.myspace.com/wavelengthfx) to discuss the first official Drift Effect music video. The guys at EliteROCK love this dude and so far, we do to! Recently, he produced the latest video for A Day To Remember (http://www.myspace.com/adaytoremember) which peaked at #1 on Fuse and #2 on MTV2.  We'll let you know how the meet goes and keep you posted on the production process! Super stoked...

Adam Update

So, good news. This morning the swelling went down a bit and he can move his finger a little better than last night...see a video of "the incident" @ www.youtube.com/drifteffectband!

Big Whiskey and the Groo Grux King

First off, go out and buy this album.  It's bass player approved!!!  Secondly, to be blunt and honest, this is one of the better albums I've heard out in the scene lately.  It's very emotional with the passing of Moore during the recording process as well as versatile.  It shows everything that DMB can and has done, plus way way more.  From Dave's lyrical antics to the rest of the band just completely filling up the tracks with sound it's 100% worth owning, I already have it on CD and Vinyl, which if you have the means sounds ridiculous on wax.  Well, enough from me right now.  Go pick it up dammit and give it your 2 cents.  Peace out.
